music swap party
Jan. 11th, 2004 04:43 amIt was about four in the morning when I looked at the hostess and said, "It's about four in the morning. Do you want us to leave?" Everyone in the room looked at their watches and made little gasping sounds. The hostess shrugged politely. Everyone laughed a little, and then suddenly felt very tired. We left. There was a good number of us left at that hour, and that means the party was good.
Time flew. Camaraderie, conversation and silliness. I learned how a deep sand bed system works, sort of. I should have known it all along, now that I think of it. Even without an artificial gradient, diffusion would make it work. I just hadn't realized how little nitrate it takes to keep it going -- at worst, it's just diffusion, so any gradient would do it. I'm babbling, but it's my journal.
