Waiting for cells to lyse. Yesterday was insane, but today was longer. After I write this, I'm scraping up cell goo and going home.
Interview tomorrow. Crap, I forgot to buy a little folder thing. I always forget that. Maybe I'll find one tomorrow morning. I always think that, too, but I never really end up getting one.
My NEMC boss is pleased, because... well, because I kick ass, really. Jesus. I can't believe how much shit I got done yesterday. And I won't have any more HIF-1 nightmares, because the fucking blot finally worked. I hate that protein.
Business stuff continues at a blistering pace, though today was mostly spent running in place. Quotes come slowly, implementation costs are high, STE is hard to get a hold of sometimes. I'm trying to negotiate with a potential contractor, but I keep doubling back to make sure my ideas make sense in other people's heads. Tomorrow, after my interview, I might try and "bump into" Important Chemistry Man at a nearby laboratory. He or one of his minions might be interested in a quick little project. They'll take me more seriously in a suit than in a t-shirt, I think. Grownups are weird.
Oh, my cellphone battery is completely dead. It will stay that way until after I get home, at 9:30 or later. Hope nobody's tried to call me.
