Help! I need a truck.

This is so retarded. I need to tow a car 250 miles. I need to drive 500 miles, total: 250 to get there, 250 back. You would not believe how much this is trying to cost me. I've looked at UHaul, AAA, car rental places (for pickups/SUVs), and transport services. They are all trying to fuck me in the ass with a tree.

Do you, or does anyone you know, feel like renting me their big truck or SUV for 12 hours? I'll cover fuel, your next oil change (we're talking 500 miles, after all), and... I dunno... $100 on top?

Any day from Wednesday, 11/1 through Friday, 11/3 would work for me. Other days might work, too.

Thought I might like to cycle to Redline. I went two blocks before my fingers threatened to freeze solid and fall off. I need those, so I turned around, unpinned my pant-cuffs, and jumped in the car instead. I made it to Arlington Center before deciding I didn't feel like going out after all. So I came home and updated my journal instead.

In other news, just in case you missed it, I contracted an auto transport company to move the Olds from its current resting place to the garage that will wrench it back to life. At $325, the deal was too good to pass up -- I was expecting to spend over $100 in fuel alone, plus the trailer rental, coupled with 12 hours of pain/potential disaster -- and I really think it's time to let someone else have a terrible day on account of that car. ;)

Shout-out to eeyrg, who offered to lend me her truck; a favor which, had I decided to embark on this adventure myself, would have saved me about three hundred bucks and another headache.
