The shifter sends a radio signal to a servo located near the hub. The servo adjusts a very short length of cable to change gears. Why? For fun. There would be a weight penalty, weatherproofing issues, and fabrication, or at least custom building. I see no practical application, and I doubt this sort of thing would sell. I just think radio shifting would be cool. Maybe this could be patented, if it isn't already. (Again, just for fun -- offhand, I don't see it as profitable.)
