post-kvetch
Feb. 1st, 2007 09:49 amYesterday was crappy. I got some disappointing data, and then I completely botched a big, labor-intensive experiment. Boss is out sick, too. Bleh. After grinding my teeth for ten hours, I went home to do a heartbreaking mountain of laundry. Seriously, I didn't know I owned so much clothing. I just wanted to go to bed, but then I'd have no socks. Finished laundry sometime this morning, then went to sleep.
You know, I saw one of those Mooninite installations a while back. I don't remember who I was in the car with, but I definitely recall pointing at it and saying, "Hm. Mooninite." It was on a bridge. I'd completely forgotten about that until late yesterday. MY GOD THEY COULD HAVE KILLED US ALL BY NOW
Today I feel less cranky.
I had my work day planned out, but the big, important meeting has been cancelled, and now I'm waiting for a conference call.
Yesterday I was grousing about how much easier it would be to perform certain procedures here with the right equipment, why doesn't this lab have a decent Eppendorf, blah blah blah... And then I remembered that I'm the Lab Manager. I can buy stuff without convincing anyone else that we need it. I could get used to that.
I think I'll go shopping.
