I'm trying to catch up on LJ. Systematically. I have a system!

I have copied _perihelion_'s excellent home buying advice as a text file, for use in the unlikely event I should ever be able to acquire Real Estate *grumbletheworldchangedonusbutit'sstillmyowndamnfaultgrumble*

I got a Real Estate salesperson license after taking an excellent course from A.R.E.A. in Waltham. I would add this act to Perihelion's list of recommended activities. It's cheap, it's quick (you can moosh the entire course into one weekend, if you're in a hurry), and it gives you a little more perspective on motives, ends, and means. It can also be fun, if you get the right teacher. They've got some stories, I'll tell you whut.

Parenthetically (but without the parentheses)*, there's a significant difference between a "Realtor" and a "Real Estate Salespersion" in Massachusetts. I don't remember what the difference is, but I do remember that most people erroneously call salespersons "realtors."
