I'm also thinking about a diet. Not a real diet, by its usual definition; just a re-categorization of certain items, like the one I implemented silently for several months about a year ago. I labeled many items "inedible" in my mind, and convinced myself, over a period of weeks, that they were simply not for eating. Donuts? They're not food. Pizza? Nope. May as well try to eat rocks. Don't laugh -- it really worked last time.
