Friday: Strawberry shortcake and Attic Expeditions with [livejournal.com profile] darla, [livejournal.com profile] anechoic, and Anechoic's GF (she has an LJ, right?). The movie did nothing for me, though it was cute watching Darla fawn over Seth Green (I don't see it -- just looks like a kid who needs a shower to me -- but hey). The strawberry shortcake was another matter. That needs to happen more often, "diet" be damned. I will invest in a mixer.

Saturday: Darla went off to study, and I performed aquarium maintenance. I discovered that the heater in the 55-gallon drum failed, and the water had dropped to 60 degrees! My precious P. scrophus were unharmed, but they were so groggy, I easily caught them all by hand. I moved Orvis the P. gibbiceps from his bedside position into the 29-gallon tank in the dining room, and put all the rhinos into the bedside tank. Yeah, it's crowded in there (Ansible is huge!), but it's warm.

Next, a period of Glorious Sloth began. I swear to God, I've done absol

That's my General Gau's chicken. China Cafe in Arlington makes great GGC -- lots of ginger -- but it costs too much. I should know: this is my second order this weekend. Anyway, I've done absolutely nothing but eat and nap. Oh, I went to [livejournal.com profile] atalanta and [livejournal.com profile] mrzero's for a few drinks and mellow, stimulating conversation last night. That was very enjoyable.

Today I got up late, puttered around the house, did some dishes, read about King Crab Fishing on Alaska's High Seas, napped some more, dreamt about seafood, woke up, ordered Chinese.

I have decided I may not sleep again until 1) I work on the translation for at least 3 hours and 2) I work out. A little sloth is nice, and a lot is better, but I'se got bills to pay, and Chinese takeout makes sedentary folk fat. I will also call Darla, to make sure she hasn't lost her mind amidst piles of equations and plasma. Astrophysics looks hard.
