The problem with almost every protein supplement is the extra crap it's bundled with. Most difficult to avoid are the artificial sweeteners whose metabolites are rather poorly understood. I'm afraid of those.

Bear with the ultra-hype graphics and needlessly complicated interface. Look what you can specify in your powder:

Flavor: None
Sweetener: None
Aminogen: No
Carbogen: No
Glutamine Peptides: No
MicroLactin: No
Muscle Cocktail: None
Peak ATP: No
Vitamins & Minerals: No

I just received 2lbs of Ultra Amino 97 Whey Isolate and 1 lb of Rice Protein Concentrate. A generous helping of both, mixed into a glass of soymilk, tasted like... thicker soymilk. Perfect.

Nice options. So, what's the difference between these isolates versus just powdered cow, soy, or rice milk? Or simply drinking 2x the amount of soymilk at a time?

Also - are you trying to increase your protein intake? (...why?) Or is this just a handy supplement to have around when you want a dose of Beef In A Glass?

Hmm. Maybe there's a market for pureed meat smoothies.

Knocks out the sugars. I love powdered milk, but we've learned what it does to my, um, air-handling.

Volume. Remember, I'm trying to feel full on smaller volumes of stuff.

are you trying to increase your protein intake?

No, just the protein:sugar and protein:fat ratios.

I know nothing about this stuff, I need to find out what to take to finally get some results from all this gym-going that i've been doing for the past year.

I am sadly addicted to Splenda. It just makes eating easier.

I have no idea how any of that stuff works but I was always curious. There needs to be an instruction manual for that site. lol

My friend http://idadebeautreux.livejournal.com/profile works for Genzyme. They are having a hiring freeze, but I asked her to look around for you (she has some contacts around the industry). You should poke her - she's cool beans (and said it would be OK for you to contact her). I had sent her the link to your public Linked in page, but you may have some more useful things to send her personally (like a full resume).
