I don't feeeel like reading LJ.
May. 19th, 2003 03:21 pmI haven't read LJ for several days now. I'm going to have another deep pile of backed-up entries to catch up on.
I've blown a total of $820 on the Volvo in the past two weeks. This unexpected expense cropped up in the midst of moving costs concerns. Yeehaw.
The Buick may be a loss. I knew I'd make expensive mistakes, this being my first project car and all, but damn. I really hope it's worth the cost of rust repairs. It won't start now, but that's a minor concern, not a major one as I initially thought (no more car trouble, please, was the gut reaction). If I'm scrapping this powertrain anyway, who cares if it won't start? It's probably just the battery (hard winter), which I would have replaced during the engine swap.
This, aside from aesthetic concerns, is almost exactly my goal. Old Monte Carlos share the G-Body platform with old Regals, so the mods done to this car would work for mine. The Buick is a less ugly car. I'll choose more subtle wheels, and my interior is going to be much more industrial, because I'm hardcore and shit. LS1 V8's are pricey, so I'll probably settle for an LT1.
