more snails coming / RIP Bacon

Something's making those apple snails all randy. I found two more egg clusters tonight. At this rate, by the time my F1 matures, I'm going to have a very productive snail farm.

I lost a fish. Bacon, the smaller of my two Apteronotus albifrons, died of mysterious causes a couple of nights ago. I had last seen him(her?) two days before, looking mighty healthy. I suspect s/he may have choked on a tasty earthworm, but I decided not to perform an autopsy. Fish autopsies are stinky, and I'm not always in the mood for that.

I ate escargot once. It's neat. I like the snail forks.
