pre-vacation
Oct. 16th, 2003 10:57 amTomorrow is going to be a strange day. Mom gets surgery in the morning, I get on a plane in the evening, and I work in between.
This is my first real vacation ever. I'll need underwear and socks... I did the dishes... Left fish care instructions... What else is there? I have to buy a hat, because
sadira won't be seen in public with me if I wear my little Tibetan wool thing. It's pretty itchy anyway.
There's nearly nothing to do at work today, which is pretty awesome. If I use my psychotech skills well, my boss will feel compelled to send me home early. I'll probably fuck it up, though. NLP is tricky to the novice.
Business news: Maybe I'll make growth factors instead of cells. It would be easier to test the product, and it would be cheaper to store. It would also take up very little physical space. You can fit a lot of nanograms of stuff just about anywhere. Freezer full of FGF!
Oh, and I'm re-starting the job search, which had hit a lull. There's some company in Worcester that just got bought, and they're doing all sorts of hiring and shuffling around. SeƱor V., a Mexican from the OI days, is my inside contact. I think he gave me a bad email address, but I have his phone numbers.

I think I failed to elicit the "go home early" response in my boss. I'll try again later.
