Sometimes the latest public entry has nothing to do with my current situation. The journal is for me, and it serves the purpose of recording things, so I won't forget when this happened or what I was thinking about when; still, people read it, so when the latest accessible entry is outdated, I feel compelled to write a placeholder. There are people I rarely see that I keep track of, and maybe who keep track of me, through this thing. Here: I feel uncommonly terrible from the neck up, but I'll get better.
