People keep saying our government is terrible and they want to leave the country. Guess what? You can. You even get to come back, if you suddenly realize you want state-of-the-art medical care or you want your telephone to work or you must avoid eating animals (you have the luxury of choosing that here).

I'm not saying the government is perfect. I'm saying put up or shut up, and if that's not appealing, you really can leave -- but you won't.

Oh, and if the smoking ban pisses you off that much... How much did you lobby against it before it was passed? How many signatures did you get on your petition? How many letters did you send?
