In Praise

To all who helped me move today: You is da bomb, and there ain't none higher.

Fluffy is now living in Arlington. I couldn't ask for a more congenial lungfish. She was clearly apprehensive about being lifted bodily from the water and placed in a small transport container, but she allowed me to pick her right up without a fuss. Putting her back was just the same -- she just let me pick her right up and plop her in the tank. That's a good thing, too, because had she decided she didn't feel like cooperating, it would have been a much longer day. She's gettin' big, y'know -- about 28" now. Heavy, too.

The next few days won't be easy. The new place needs some attention, and the basement still needs to be purged of the foetid leavings of tenants past. Tomorrow I have to clean up the old place and put a third (!) coat of primer on my new bedroom's walls. Thanks be to rojagato for spackling, sanding, and priming above and beyond the call of duty.

I still have fish and fish paraphernalia in the old basement... Ugh.
