My farewell lunch was yesterday. It was lightly attended -- most people are away on holiday. A couple of folks who were on vacation showed up anyway, which made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
People are sad to see me go. The bye-bye emails are coming in. I've been feeling strange, nervous in a good way. I'm leaving the best job I've ever had, hoping for something even better. This could be a mistake, but never finding out would feel worse than failing. This could be a big break. At worst, it's a proper way to force the turning point I've been seeking.
