I can fly to Texas for $147 plus tax and stuff. I have to contact STE and figure out if he expects to shelter me and chauffeur me around, or if I need a hotel and a car. If I need to house and transport myself in TX, then the trip gets postponed until I'm less destitute. I'm not excited about this trip right now. Not feeling optimistic today. :P

Might save the experiment after all, but who knows. I'd rather chuck something and start again than second-guess all the data.

keep in mind that hotel and rental car in TX aren't going to cost anywhere near as much as they do here. also, isn't the goal of this trip to find a way to become less destitute? do you have other plans? trips take planning. if you wait until you're optimistic, the tables could have turned and you could be hating the world by the time you step on the plane to go.

i just meant that in the sense that your outlook on the world seems to change pretty frequently, so waiting until your feeling optimistic won't necessarily get your anywhere.
