I came crawling back to Pavel tonight, after last night's brief get-reacquainted session.

4X20 two-arm swings
2(3X10) hang cleans
2(2X5) military press

Found the groove on all those, but the presses were harder than they should've been. I'm paying for my lack of discipline, you guys.

Did a Weasel Care Walk-Through with the man who married badriyaz. I'm checking up on the tube rats on Sunday. I forget where Badriyaz and her LJ-less hubby are going that day.

A headhunter called me about a 1-year assignment with Pfizer, and I said "Sure. Forward my resume." (trans.: I know I'll never hear from you again, you false-hope witch.)

Saw Mom at the hospital today. Routine follow-up. She's doing well. :)

Reading Neuromancer, which I never got around to doing before. It's nerdy.

Hang cleans? Glutton. As you may have noticed, they have the shortest "stroke" of any clean, requiring the most explosion. For extra joy, move on to hang snatches.

BTW, I classify the dead and hang stuff (for cleans and snatches) thusly:

Easiest: done with preswing
Level 2: "Rear Dead:" bell on the ground, all the way to the rear. Dead weight, but with a long stroke.
Level 3: "Front Dead:" bell on the ground, but up front. Dead weight with a shorter stroke.
Level 4: Hang: dead weight, shortest stroke. Major suckage, requiring major explosiveness, better have your shit together.*

You may have noticed all of the above by now...

"Neuromancer" must look pretty quaint by today's standards. Still, I'm disappointed that Chris Cunningham decided not to make the movie version of it (he's done videos for Aphex Twin, Portishead, and Madonna's uber-goth "Frozen" video).
