If you're slated for an interview through a referral, show up to the interview. Don't make me look stupid, don't kill my chances to ever get a referral bonus, and don't cost my other referrals the opportunity to interview.

That happened to me a few months ago. I was mortified! I don't think my company was too mad at me, but still... it was pretty humiliating.
