pyrric, and we sailed off to Framingham, where I got lost, but eventually found the place (they took the goddamm sign down) and the pretty DJ sold me prefab glass lids for my 180-gallon aquarium (!!!(1)) at a gloriously low price(2). Then Pyrric and I got dinner, during which we talked about nursing and school and big fat changes in career track.
Saturday I went togreendramaqueen and mvoid's ridiculously great wedding, then to arcanus's birthday shindig, where we watched Calamari Wrestler. mrzero and atalanta crashed in Exile.
Sunday my guests treated me to breakfast at Sound Bites. I napped afterwards, full of fruit-covered waffley wonder. Got up and drove to the parents' for an early dinner, after which we took the dog out for a stroll in the park. She jumped in the river just for the hell of it, and then flipped out racing around on dirty sand. Best walkies ever. Good thing we had a towel.
(1) When I bought the tank, I was told these didn't exist. I endured ridiculous thermal inefficiency and evaporative loss for years because some pinhead misinformed me, and I was dumb enough not to double-check.
(2) One-fifth of what I expected to eventually pay for custom-cut glass. WOO!
