I've made a pact with [livejournal.com profile] fudjo. We will both work out every single day for thirty days.

Day 1:

deadlift 2x5
military press 2x5
hang clean 2x8
push-up 5x12

It's a start. (No time for details. Time for Ceremony.)

No time for details like um, what weights you're using?

Quiet, you. You know my not-until-it-isn't-embarrassing policy.

Sheesh. I post my logs on a forum frequented by MONSTERS. My maxes are their warmups. Embarrassing schmembarrassing.

Your numbers are your numbers, honestly obtained. Nothing else matters.

So working out every day doesn't seem so insane to me, depending on how you do it. I mean, you're going to have lighter days to balance out more dynamic heavy duty days, right?

Heh. Look at the date on this post. :)

Also, you are correct. There will be lighter days, heavier days, and a lot of variety.

Good show. See, I knew this was the case. It's funny how people think 30 days of working out, and immediately imagine this as an extreme. I think that's part of what's wrong with people conceptual notions of physical fitness.
That unless you're killing yourself, every time you work out or go to the gym, then you're not doing enough. Which is why so many people start an exercise program and then bail a short time after. They start off great, but then think they need to hammer themselves all the time, and loose faith.
Moderation is key. No need to push too hard every single day and risk injury.
