I have no fewer than nineteen (more, I'm sure) password-protected accounts: email addresses, forums, online vendors, banking, and so forth. There is no way in all fuckoff I'm going to keep nineteen passwords in my head, so I use just a few, each one covering several accounts. I change them frequently, but even so, each and every time I go through to change my nineteen+ passwords, some fuckhead has gotten the brilliant idea to change the required password format on some site or another. At least eight characters. At least two numbers. No combination keys. At least one combination key. What this means to me is that, twelve password changes in, I'll hit an account that completely fucks up the whole pattern, so I have to go back, at which point I don't remember which sites I changed the pass on already, and if I did, I can't tell if the change has propagated through the system anyway.

More goddamm coffee.

Aye, when you have so many passworded account, you end up having to either use the same passwords for all of them or coming up with simple easy to remember passwords. Which kind of defeats the point of having them in the first place.

This is why I liked my last company's biometrics. As long as I remembered my thumb in the morning, I was set. And if I forgot my thumb, well, logging in would be the least of my problems.
