So I'm doing some piled-up housekeeping stuff, like laundry, aquarium maintenance, and tidying up for guests, instead of having brunch and putting invites together with old friends. Most of me really wants to do the latter, but then I'd have no clothes, a messy living space, and a bunch of dead Brazilian tropical fishes. Okay, the real reason is that wedding invites are just the thing to make me all maudlin and stupid inside today. I'd better stick to fish.

Hey, iTunes is on random, here, on a rainy day, and you know what happens when that happens: You hit all those songs. I've got an idea! Everybody take a moment to remember only the good things about all your past relationships...

Sorry about that. More importantly, here is the first mosquito corpse of the year:

rojagato smashed it against the wall, in elegant profile, with a Tupperware thing. We'd all better get ready to see thousands of these all over the place, thanks to the heavy rains. I'm thinking maybe I can leave them all up on the wall, and count off all the dead come Winter.

Anyway, it looks like a new icon to me.

Woo! atalanta and mrzero are heading up this way, and we're all having steak for dinner. Then we're going to a certain gentleman's exotic-martial-arts-themed barbeqcu-.. barbecq-.. fucking BBQ.
