Anyone have a garment steamer I can borrow? Something like this would do, or one of those bigger commercial ones. I bought a muslin photography backdrop, and I want to get rid of the creases. Ironing is an undesirable backup plan, because this sucker measures 10'X15'. I don't think throwing it in the drier would work too great, either -- it's big enough to get all twisted up in there.

Date: 2006-08-08 04:10 pm (UTC)I've got a handheld steamer but the head is about the width of a standard iron so unless you've just got a few creases to steam out it's going to be just as time consuming as an iron, but you're welcome to borrow it.
I'll usually wash and then tumble dry lengths of fabric before sewing them into clothing, and usually they're fine (but they've probably been thicker than your sheet). You could try putting some damp towels in the dryer with your fabric to steam out the creases and to provide padding to avoid twisting. How worried are you about it shrinking a bit?
