W.R. Grace

I never read A Civil Action, but I saw the movie, which I recommend. According to today's Globe, the W.R. Grace factory building in Woburn was demolished this month. Twentysomething years ago, waste products from this facility (among others) were regularly dumped into the ground, because that's cheaper than going through safe disposal procedures. People got leukemia and died.

Wow - I'm surprised (though not really, I guess) that it took 20 years to tear down the plant :/ Hopefully they found someway to dispose of it in a safe manner :(
