Caught the slower kitty, and a neighboring scientist, who had been kitten shopping in shelters, ran over to adopt it. First stop is the vet, he said.

The other little devil is too fast for me. I bet I look funny, outside others' office windows, charging through the bushes like that.

Try Food?

Get a can of cat food from Store24 and see if anyone has a blanket lying around that could act as a "net" .... Good luck!

get a box.

put it somewhere safe.

let the kitten run & hide in it.

pick up the box.

oh, & wear eye protection.

Alas, the kitten has several vast underground lairs, strategically placed by its wily parents to facilitate a quick retreat, so it has no need of additional shelter.

Step 6: Profit!

You have to stalk, not charge.

I often chase after kitties because I like to touch them. They have to think it's their idea to come up to you, though.

coatimundi!

Oh, the pouncing comes after the stalking. I fail at both.

This feral kitty wants nothing to do with humans, so reverse psychology may not be an option.

I may escalate to trapping tomorrow.

iParty has nets.

they are intended for decoration but should work as... well... a net.

try a can of tuna as a lure. I've never met a cat that wasn't excited about tuna. Also, it's really smelly, so he'll know it's there, even from a distance.

Don't worry about how funny you look. I have a history of chasing birds.

Yeah, but the birds you chase just go around in circles. Also, one doesn't look all that funny chasing birds, just ungainly; while someone chasing down a healthy cat does look hilarious.

You ever see a shirtless man chasing a maddened swan down the middle of I-95 in North Attleboro at 7 AM? 'Cause I hear that it's pretty freakin' hilarious.

nonono... you lure cats by waving a laser pointer around in front of them. What cat can resist the glowing red dot!

Or you do what I do when I want to catch small fluffy things and that is throw rocks at them till they don't run so fast...
