self-congratulatory work-related entry

I'm in the odd position of hoping to make some of my own recent work obsolete. We are implementing a significant process improvement based on work from the end of last year. Now we have initial data from a much more ambitious experiment which could obviate that change. It's just the first timepoint, and we have two more timepoints to measure, but I couldn't ask for better initial data.

If this works, I'm going to put a pile of money on the floor* and roll around in it.
