I think I'll try two consecutive STGU (one per side) for the first few minutes next time. When I find myself doing 28 in 14 minutes, I'll try some negatives with the double. Man, that sounds like a terrible idea right now. :P

If by the double you mean the 70 pounder, yes. Not so hot an idea for a first TGU. You'd be much better off doing half-TGUs (where you get up to one elbow) and then 3/4 ones (where you're almost ready to stand up) first.

Doing negs may cause an unfortunate incident in which about halfway down you suddenly accelerate and/or have to dump the bell.

Not that that ever happened to me, of course. Cough.
