REC and Quarantine are the same movie. They're both quite good.* If you've seen neither, just see REC. It was released earlier, and it's better.

I could've sworn I wrote about Quarantine before. Maybe I did, and forgot to tag the entry. [livejournal.com profile] sephardic and I watched it and screamed like little girls together.**

* Well, they're not bad. See comments, etc.
**Wrong! I was thinking of another movie.

I hadn't seen that preview until now. It stinks. Movie's real good, though.

Orrrr not. I was confusing two memories. See next entry.

You're calling Q "good?" Are you nuts? Have you lost your memory? Beach house! North Carolina! Brownies!

INTERMINABLE first act where nothing happens.
Meh second act, with some good surprises.
DUMB AS HELL third act leading to the LAME ending.

BAH I SAY

Oh, uh-

Chisel (my Ebony Sista) says that I'm supposed to tell you that she agrees with you that "Quarantine" is good.

She made us rent "Supernova" and "Sunshine," though. So there.

erh..

Truth is, Q wasn't as good as I was mis-remembering it. I was thinking about a time the girl and I were like,

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOMFGOMFGDIDYOUSEETHAT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA,

but that was from watching El Orfanato (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0464141/) together.

I can't remember the AAAAAAAAAAAA moment in El Orfanato; mostly I just remember wanting to jump out the damn window. Towards the end. gaaaaah.

Un, dos, tres... ¡Toca la pared!

*shudder*

I'm pretty sure I was trying to hide inside a sofa cushion during that scene.

I think The Orphange is on the list of 'Sean doesn't get to watch' movies right.

I can't fathom wanting to see Supernova, but the first two-thirds of Sunshine were a treat. I assume I'd feel differently if my livelihood depended on the public's Physics education, though..

At least 'The Core' had the good grace to be campier than hell.
I was so excited for Sunshine and so pissed by the end of it.

For real! I mean, that was the dumbest possible way to add tension to a situation that needed none added.

couldn't agree with you more. and it's such a shame because it was such a pretty movie on top of being suspenseful.

have you seen shallow grave? danny boyle has never been able to recapture twists and suspense the way he did with that movie.
the core was freaking brilliant!
