warm and dry bear food
Feb. 9th, 2010 03:17 pmThanks to all who offered to lend me a coat for Yosemite. I found a windproof, water-resistant, extra-warm, and heinous old coat at Goodwill. Makes me look like a marshmallow, and I think it's leaking feathers. For fifteen bucks, it's perfect.
I have insulated, waterproof, zip-vented pants, long johns, and a pair of zippered faux-pac boots.
sephardic has sleeping bags. Snowshoes will be rented locally.
We're spending two nights in some sort of insulated canvas tent-cabin thing. Do you think two crates of brandy* will be enough?
