The plan was to jump rope in 2' intervals with 1' rest for the duration of a not-too-engrossing movie. I encountered two problems:
1. The movie was annoying.(1)
2. The rope snapped at its vertex.(2)
I neglected to devise a contingency plan. Hm.
1. The trailer would have given that away, but trailers give everything away, so I don't often watch them.
2. This thing worked well, but it didn't have a long tread life. It's like a performance tire.
*****
exercise, take II:
On 03.30.2010,
rope, 2' on, 1' off, @2.5Hz, for 3 sets(3)
front steps @32kg+24kg, 10 sets of 44 steps(4)
3. Negligible. Wanted at least 12 sets, but rope snapped near the end of set 3.
4. Used 'bells instead of plates this time. Much easier on the traps, a bit harder on the legs (that's good), but definitely grip-limited.
