40/wk temp-to-perm, as required by HR, for less than one year. Permanent FTE w/bennies thereafter.

I was technically temp even after I was hired "perm" for about 3 months probationary period (after 6 months truly temp via agency, and another 2 months agency temp the prior winter). University HR can be slooooow...but once you are in, you can dig in your heels.

What is the job/dept/etc? I'm so curious!

My friend Cass works at the MIT library, if you want a buddy (she read at our wedding).
