had so much fun getting groceries.

Among other break-in bugs, we've developed an exhaust leak at the header over cylinder #7*. No cause for alarm -- there's no wiring to melt in the vicinity, the repair will be free, and I've already decided to exchange the Hooker Comps for block-huggers anyway. The nose has to come down a little more to perfect the stance, and full-length header collectors don't offer enough clearance. Shorties will cost a few horses, but the tires say I have extra.

When I started up to leave the lot, that Mini behind me thought it was getting stolen. I felt like an ass. I neither expected nor wanted the car to be this loud, but I couldn't have known it before it was put together. Block-huggers should help a little.

* I was relieved to learn it isn't valvetrain noise. After the Grey-Patti Automotive guy on Mass Ave stopped what he was doing immediately to diagnose the leak, he refused payment. "The eye candy is good enough for me."

Sometimes I miss Capoeira Angola. Here's what a good game looks like. Oo! this one is even better.

Tony Jaa starred in a terrible movie called The Protector. The film's best scene (jump to 00:30) is a fight between a skilled capoeirista and the protagonist. If Angola is Tai Chi on the aggression scale, the style showcased here (Regional, pronouced "HeshioNAHL") is Krav Maga. See all that posturing and ridicule? That's not acting -- mentally unsettling the opponent is a big deal in Capoeira. They're bastards.
